Studio Putman Redesigns Sofitel's Flagship Paris HotelOct 31, 2013
Studio Putman implemented a design that made guests feel right at home. A subdued palette informs the 124 guestrooms and suites, creating a sense of peace in the heart of hectic Paris. The relaxed atmosphere extends to the lobby; lounge with fireplace; and the Gallery, outfitted with lighting fixtures that recall the lamps lining the City of Light’s thoroughfares. F&B concepts include L’Initial restaurant and Da Rosa bar boasting a grocery store-canteen concept.
“We wanted to create an alternative to the standard palace positioning and create a lifestyle space—a real Parisian pied-à-terre with a boutique hotel dimension,” says Béatrice Schopflin, general manager of the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe. “The hotel’s design is about interconnecting spaces, where space can be used in several different ways.”
