Mantra Group has expanded in New Zealand with the construction of Peppers Portage and Mantra Lake Tekapo. The new additions bring the group’s total New Zealand network to 12 properties, including the fourth Peppers property in the last 12 months.

The 41-room Peppers Portage plans to upgrade the rooms, bar, and restaurant, as well as the landscape of the former Portage Resort Hotel by later this year. Situated close to Blenheim and Picton, the boutique resort offers winery tours, wildlife eco tours, sea kayaking, sailing, and fishing on Kenepuru Sound. Featuring conferencing venues for up to 100 delegates, the hotel also boasts several options for group meetings, including a variety of outdoor team building activities. 


Meanwhile, the Mantra Lake Tekapo features 28 self-contained three-bedroom villas overlooking Lake Tekapo. The villas each offer two and a half bathrooms with under floor heating, as well as spacious living areas, a private courtyard, and a fully equipped kitchen. Additional guest facilities include a hot tub and swimming pool, as well as an entertainment area complete with a fireplace and barbeque.
