Loews Hotels & Resorts has announced plans for a new hotel in Chicago. Designed by architectural firm Solomon Cordwell Buenz, the property calls for 400 guestrooms, a signature restaurant, more than 25,000 square feet of innovative meeting space, multiple outdoor terraces, spa/fitness center, and an outdoor rooftop including a pool overlooking the city. The hotel, part of a 52-story tower that also will house 390 luxury residential apartments, is scheduled to open in January 2015.
