J/Brice Design to Work on Haiti's Karibe Hotel
Nov 6, 2012
J/Brice Design International will design a new wing for the Karibe Hotel & Spa in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The addition will include 100 luxury guestrooms, an upscale restaurant, and entertainment venue with rooftop terraces boasting sea views. The property’s owner, Richard Buteau, sees the project as a way to jump start post-quake tourism.
"Our design scheme will reflect the style and aesthetic of Haiti's architecture, art, fashion and remarkable sunsets—natural tones with bold pops of color that include turquoise, coral, azure, and the metallics, says J/Brice CEO.
The new wing, which doubles the hotel’s guestroom capacity, is scheduled for mid-2013 completion.
