Swisstouches Hotel - Xian, China

HBA recently completed the Swisstouches Hotel in Xi’an, China, an ancient inland Chinese city with a history stretching back more than 3,000 years. To begin the design process, HBA traveled to Switzerland to research and learn Swiss contemporary design elements. The firm’s design incorporates modern architectural elements, furnishings, and materials for a chic and luxurious environment. “What worked incredibly well for the property’s design was the ability to merge art and interior design as one,” notes HBA’s David T’Kint.

A Night at the Museum

On March 10, the Architecture + Design Museum (A+D) in Los Angeles held its annual fundraiser, hosting more than 600 people for CELEBRATE: The Wearable. The runway event featured a live and silent auction of 48 wearable artworks created by visionaries from such realms as architecture, fashion, and the visual arts.
