Fontainebleau Miami Beach is offering a glimpse into its $1 billion renovation before celebrating its grand opening in the fall. The transformation updates original architect Morris Lapidus's curvilinear building while adding modern-day details.
The resort will comprise 1,504 guestrooms, 658 of which are suites housed in two new towers. The suites will come equipped with flat-panel TVs, kitchenettes, marble and granite bathrooms, oversized jetted tubs and walk-in showers, and balconies. Other project highlights include 11 restaurants and lounges; a 40,000-square-foot spa designed by Richardson Sadeki; and an oceanfront poolscape helmed by Jeffrey Beers International and Lifescapes International. HKS is the project's managing architect.
