Thompson Hotels is expanding its presence outside of North America with Thompson Seoul in South Korea. The group has tapped Studio Gaia to design the 100-room boutique property, situated along the bank of the Han River.
Guests will be greeted with a ground-level garden space connected to a park. Accommodation highlights include the penthouse suite, featuring a private deck and outdoor spa pool. The hotel will also exhibit works from international artists and feature 20,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.
Thompson will include its signature rooftop bar and pool on the 15th floor; the property will feature another bar on the eighth floor and a wine cellar as well. A three-story golf area, the first for a Thompson hotel, will incorporate a driving range, a putting green, locker room, golf screens, and a lounge. A full-service spa and fitness facilities round out the hotel's amenities.
