In its two years in existence, the Hyatt Regency Denver has implemented a series of environmentally friendly practices that the hotel hopes will earn it Green Seal certification.
The Hyatt Regency was built using high-efficiency construction techniques. Most of the hotel's lighting comprises compact fluorescent lamps, while water-saving fixtures are present in each of the 1,100 guestrooms.
Recycling has been a big initiative at the hotel. Bins are present in every guestroom, meeting room, and all public spaces. The Hyatt says it has reduced landfill waste by 25 percent. Plus, any unused bath products are donated to a local shelter.
