About Hospitality Design

Hospitality Design magazine, published 10 times a year, is the premier trade magazine serving the field of hospitality design. It connects owners, operators, purchasing agents, designers, and architects involved in the design of hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise ships, country clubs, night clubs, conference centers, spas, senior living facilities and all other hospitality-oriented projects. Hospitality Design continues its 27-year mission to publish the accomplishments of various design teams that collaborate to bring the most innovative examples of new construction and renovation to the industry.

Hospitality Design Expo & Conference 2008 : The preeminent trade show for the hospitality design industry. This event provides manufacturers the opportunity to reach hospitality design professionals face-to-face, display/introduce products and build relationships. Hospitality Design Summit: An exclusive invitation-only conference where top executives in the hospitality design industry gather to exchange visions and ideas for the future, hone their leadership skills, and connect with their industry peers.

HD Boutique: HD's chic, smart-sized exposition and conference on the SoBe scene. HD Boutique reflects the energy and the influences of Miami Beach and South Beach where Latin, South, and North America converge and act as a barometer of what's happening in hospitality. It brings together professionals in the hospitality industry through informative conference sessions and packed networking parties, and unveils the newest products in the marketplace on a show floor with smaller sized booths. Hospitality Design Awards for Creative Achievement:Hospitality Design magazine’s annual Hospitality Design Awards. The program’s categories, developed by a panel of prominent designers, offer both a departure from other awards programs and creative opportunities for entrants. An awards ceremony honoring the winners and finalists will take place June 6 at the Hudson Theater in New York City, and both winners and finalists will be featured in the May/June issue of Hospitality Design magazine.

Platinum Circle: Every year this award is given to individuals who make a significant contribution in the field of hospitality design. These individuals are honored at a gala dinner dance during the Hospitality Design Expo & Conference, providing an ideal networking event for all industry members.

IIDA/HD Product Design Awards : Co-sponsored by Hospitality Design magazine and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), these awards are held in conjunction with the annual Hospitality Design Expo & Conference to recognize quality design.

Best of Boutique (BOB) Awards: Sponsored by Hospitality Design magazine, these awards honor the most innovative products on the HD Boutique show floor.

Editorial Submission Guidelines

PROJECTS:

The following are required to be considered for a feature in the magazine:

• Opened within the past 12-18 months
• At least five hi-res (at least 300 dpi) architectural photos of the space (no people, food, brochure-style shots)

Please send hi-res images and a brief design description on a MAC-formatted CD to:
